Get to know Gwen Engler

Where do you live and what community group do you attend?

My husband, Matt, and I just purchased our first home in West Bradford Township, so we’re a little northwest of West Chester. We currently attend the Mensers’ community group.

Where did you grow up?

I grew up in central Pennsylvania, about halfway between Harrisburg and State College, on a farm near Mifflintown in Juniata County. Most people have never heard of it since it’s such a rural area, but it was a great place to grow up and it still refreshes my soul to go back there. I’m still not sure that I’m used to the big city life here in bustling West Chester!

Let’s Meet Theresa Lohmann

Read Theresa’s beautiful story of grace below, and be encouraged!  Thanks for giving us your time, Theresa.

When and how did you start coming to the Covenant Fellowship Church?

I started attending Covenant Fellowship Church in the summer of 1986. My older brother was attending this church, and he asked our family to visit. We did, and I have never left! I was a sophomore in high school so it feels like I grew up in this church because I was saved here, met my husband, dedicated my children, and Lord willing, I will grow old and wrinkly here too.

Interview with Anna Wise

Anna is one of our Study Together women’s Bible study leaders, and we’re grateful she took time to give us this interview!

Where do you live and what community group do you attend?

We now live in Chadds Ford, but for the first 13 years that we attended Covenant, we lived in North East, MD. What used to be a 45 minute (one way) commute is now an 8-minute commute, which is sweet! We attend the Culley community group, an awesome group!

Interview with Honey Muir

Honey Muir has been a faithful member of our church since 1987, and Covenant wouldn’t be the same without her. Thanks for doing this interview with us, Honey.

Where did you grow up?

Well, I was born in Philly and lived there till I was ten. But I’d have to say I did most of my “growing up” in a very cute little town right above Collegeville, called Trappe, in Montgomery County.  So that makes me a Montco!

Group Photo!

Hello ladies! We are so glad that you are here and reading the posts. We hope you find them to be encouraging and helpful in your walk with the Lord. Thank you to all who helped make our last women’s breakfast such a success! We had a wonderful time helping each other overcome the lies we believe with the truths of scripture. We took this group shot at the end, and although a few of…
