On July 4th we celebrate our American independence, and that freedom is a wonderful gift that is worth celebrating and being incredibly thankful for! However, that freedom is temporary and fickle. As Christians this Fourth of July, let’s remember the eternal and unchanging freedom Christ purchased for us with his blood. While we celebrate our American freedom this week may we be reminded of and find opportunities to share the hope, confidence and joy we have in Christ and his eternal Kingdom!
“But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the fruit you get leads to sanctification and its end, eternal life. For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 6:22-23
