God Made Me Miss My Flight

In September 2021, I was headed out west to meet up with my sister-in-law for a girls’ weekend. I rarely get to travel alone and was very much looking forward to navigating the fun game of flying solo—not having to keep track of anyone else and maybe getting some alone time to read that good book I had packed.

Greeting the Church (Ministry Series)

“I was glad when they said to me, ‘Let us go to the house of the Lord!’” (Psalm 122:1). This verse pops into my head often when I think of gathering with my brothers and sisters in Christ. It depicts such a joy and honor in coming together to worship the Lord in His house.

Ever since I was a little girl, Sundays have been my favorite day of the week, and I think this is exactly why. Though I didn’t know the reasoning, from a young age the Lord has put such a joy in my heart whenever I have had the privilege of gathering with God’s family.

Life on a Mission

Jesus came into this world with a mission. In Mark 1:14-15 it says, “Jesus came…proclaiming the gospel of God, and saying…‘repent and believe in the gospel.’” This gospel is the life-giving truth that God loved us so much that He sent His own Son to die and pay for our sin so that we can have access to Him and one day live in His presence.
